Auteur and Archive Cinema in Presnya
Zotov.Kino is a cinema located on the fourth floor of the Zotov Centre. Its programme combines new releases, classics, auteur, documentary and family films, along with unique and experimental formats. It is the only cinema in the Presnensky District and surrounding areas.
Zotov.Kino features two comfortable, modern screening rooms – the Red and the Black – each with 44 seats. The programme is divided into two main divisions: a regular screening programme alongside a parallel selection that thematically complements the centre’s exhibitions and events.
Also located on the fourth floor is a lecture hall equipped with a projector, retractable screen and video recording system. This space hosts screenings with live accompaniment, lectures, presentations, meetings, special programmes and round tables. When a film is screened simultaneously in both cinema halls, the lecture room provides an ideal venue for accompanying activities before or after the screening, such as performances or discussions.
Both cinema halls are wheelchair accessible, and entry with a guide dog is permitted. If you require a sign language interpreter for a screening, please email us at access@centrezotov.ru at least three days before the event.
The cinema also offers unique viewing formats. We hold regular screenings of silent films from the 1920s and 1930s, accompanied by live scores performed by professional pianists, independent electronic musicians and instrumental ensembles. We show films both dubbed and in the original language with subtitles.
